I wrote this a while back so I could have my own prayer and not have to rely on a religious one. (I used to have a problem with church. Now, my mind is open to it.)

In times of despair,
'Faith' is the word on my mind.
That in my daily prayers
for knowledge and strength,
Gods' will shall have a moment of serenity
to salve my jagged nerves,
so I may see that
everything’s going to be all right.
